Drew Springer, the firm’s founder and owner, serves as portfolio manager and a financial advisor for the firm. Drew graduated from North Texas State University in 1966 and received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance. Prior to opening Springer Financial Services, Drew was an Operational Auditor for Standard Oil of Indiana, a Controller for the Tandy Corporation and Financial Vice President for Payless Drug Stores.

In 1974, with the desire of utilizing his experience, education and expertise, Drew acquired in corporate America and opened Springer Financial Services on the square in Weatherford, Texas. Springer Financial Services developed into a successful venture and has prospered for over four decades. Drew has built a successful business on three simple principles: Trust, Experience and Simplicity. Drew has specialized in money management, and tax and estate planning. He is registered as a Series 1, 3, 24, 63 and 65 broker. 

Drew and his wife Linda have four children and nine grandchildren. Drew has been past-president of the Weatherford Chamber of Commerce, Parker County United Way, Weatherford Industrial Plan, and Weatherford Noon Lion’s Club. He also served on the Weatherford City Council as a City Commissioner and a member of the Water and Electric Board. In 2004, the University of North Texas honored Drew as their Outstanding Alumni in the School of Business’s Accounting Department. Drew serves on the Foundation Board for the University of North Texas and the Camp Fire Foundation Board.

Drew Springer Jr. serves as Senior Director and a financial advisor for the firm. Drew Jr. graduated from the University of North Texas in 1988 and received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Prior to joining his father at Springer Financial Services, Drew Jr. spent 15 years at Trinity Industries where he started as a staff accountant, moving up to Division Controller, Vice President of Leasing, And President of three Divisions.  Drew Jr. specializes in money management and client services. He is registered as a Series 7 and 66 broker. 

In addition to working with his father, Drew Jr is a Texas State Senator for district 30 which encompasses 14 counties in North Texas and over one million Texans. Drew was sworn in January 2021, prior to that he served in the Texas House for eight years representing 22 rural counties.  During his time in the House he was Chairman of Agriculture and Livestock, served on Ways & Means, State Affairs, Land and Resource Management, County Affairs, and Special committee on Economic Development.    

Drew Jr. and his wife Lydia have three children and one grandchild. Drew Jr. is a volunteer firefighter in Muenster, serves on Sacred Heart Catholic Church finance council, and has been a volunteer high school tennis coach.  In 2019, Weatherford High School inducted him into the athletic Hall of Fame for his time on the tennis court.  Drew Jr. played varsity tennis at UNT where he is a member of the UNT Letterman’s Club.

Diana joined Springer Financial in 2001 and has worked in financial services since 1985. Diana holds EA, LUTCF and RFC designations and Series 7, 63, 24, 53, and Life, Accident and Health Licenses.  Diana is passionate about helping clients of Springer Financial achieve their long term financial goals, and in her words, “Sleep when the wind blows.”  Her other passions include corgis, horses, and cowboy poetry.  Diana subscribes to The Code of the West and Ride for the Brand.  Diana's love for horses moved her to Texas where she met her husband, horse and people trainer, Scott Overcash.  Diana is a member of the NCHA, AQHA and Western Music Association.

Jessi joined Springer Financial Services in the Summer of 2022. Born and raised in West Texas, she is a Texas A&M University Bachelor of Science, Agricultural Science graduate.  She earned her Master of Agriculture graduate degree from Oklahoma State University. Prior to joining Springer Financial, Jessi was a teacher in Texas public schools for 16 years.  Subjects taught include Agricultural Science, Career Exploration, English, and History.  Her primary focus is learning and educating others on all aspects of financial investments including the “Bulls and Bears”.  

Being a third-generation 4-H member, Jessi is glad to give back by serving in the Parker County 4-H program.  She enjoys her downtime by riding her cow pony “Lolli” and competing in Reined Cow Horse competitions.  At the top of her favorites list is weekly Bible study (with her Parker County ladies’ group), and simple life adventures with her husband, Kristopher. 

Waylon Widler

Mr. Widler brings Springer Financial a fresh perspective on market analytics.  He is registered as a Series 65 licensed investment adviser.  Waylon’s career at Springer Financial began in the summer of 2016 when he was selected as a high-school intern.  After graduating from Weatherford High School the following year, Waylon attended the United States Marine Corps Recruit Training and today serves as a Non-Commissioned Officer in the Marine Reserves.  Following other training and experience, Waylon joined the offices of United States Congresswoman Kay Granger as a Staff Assistant and returned to Springer Financial full-time in May 2020.  Waylon is also currently enrolled at the University of North Texas finishing up a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science, Data Analytics.  His spare time is committed to studying, the Marine Corps, team roping, and training young horses.
